I'm working on a 78 year old client who suffers dementia, possibly beginning alzheimers. Reflexology wise I have been working on her for almost three years. Concentrating on the great toes, lessor toes, spine, all glands, relaxation techniques. Her shoulders are noted as significant with the arms physically difficult to raise above the head. The toes are bent and crooked esp. #2 & 3 on both feet. I have come a long way as far as returning the feet to "normal" . In the beginning, the arches were very high, with a ridge along the top of the feet at the metatarsal to cuneiform joint. Now all that remains is a bony mass on the plantar surface of both great metatarsal bones. These are in the area of the adrenal reflexes, but are much larger. Many years ago she had surgery to straighten toes and repair problems, and possibly bunions. She has a deficient thyroid, high blood pressure, high cholesterol and osteoporosis. Thank you for your input.
