The Wand ReflexTM Technique integrates Reflexology and the principles of Meridian Therapy. Includes: the origins and pathologies of Qi and Blood; The Five Elements; the flow of the twelve Meridians and their acu-points; the Chinese perspective of organ function and dysfunction; interactions between the Five Elements via the Shen and Ke cycles; practical application of specialized techniques combining Reflexology and Meridian Therapy on the hands and feet. The WAND REFLEX™ is the cement that binds the Eastern and Western approach to Reflexology.
(One-day workshop)
Includes: the flow, functions, pathology and specific points on the Ren & Du meridians; diagnosis according to the Eastern Philosophy including the patterns of disease, pernicious influnces and the significance of pain; Yin and Yang; constitutional types; Midday-Midnight law; basic face, pulse and tongue assessment. Each student completes the in-depth client assessment form and the group work together to formulate a treatment plan for each student, via the five star interactions of the Ke and Shen cycles. Specialized points are discussed regarding their specific function and the application of the WAND REFLEX™.
Lilian Tibshraeny-Morten: Teacher of Reflexology for the past 21 years and the 12 Meridians and 5 Elements for the past 10 years. Lilian started her teaching career in 1986 as the South African Director for the International Institute of Reflexology. In 1998 she was invited to create the position of Director of Education for the I.I.R. home office in St. Petersburg, Florida. Lilian has taught Reflexology in the UK, Ireland, Europe, USA, South Africa, Zimbabwe, Botswana, Singapore and Kuwait. She is the author and creator of: Moving the Energy:The Interface of Reflexology, Massage and the 12 Meridians and the 5 Elements workshop, The Twelve Meridian and Five Element Wall Chart, and the unique Twelve Meridians and Five Elements Reference Guide. Lilian is a qualified Occupational Therapist, Reflexologist, Acupuncturist and Licensed Massage Therapist (MA36981).
